Fiona is one of New Zealand’s leading writers, the author of acclaimed poetry, short stories non-fiction and novels, and an articulate voice for women’s experience and rights. She has received numerous literary awards, including the New Zealand Book Award, the Mansfield Fellowship and the Prime Minister’s Award for Fiction. In 2012 she received the ONZM for Services to Literature.
