Dame Farah captained the Black Ferns to three World Cup victories, going on to become the first woman on the NZ Rugby Board and now Deputy Chair, Chair of the NZ Māori Rugby Board and a director of Ihi Aotearoa Sport NZ. With a PhD in Sport Sociology, she currently works at Massey University leading Māori student success initiatives and is committed to empowering indigenous women and girls in sport and life.
